General Terms and Conditions – Sonulab

Welcome to Sonulab. By using our website and purchasing our products, you fully accept these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully, as they contain key clauses for your protection and ours.


1. Business Owner

This business is operated as a sole proprietorship with a VAT number. Therefore, the legal responsibility lies with a natural person. While we guarantee professionalism, reliability, and accuracy, we clarify the following:

Any liability of the business owner is strictly limited to the extent permitted by law and by these Terms, with the aim of protecting personal assets under applicable regulations.


2. Scope of Application

These Terms and Conditions govern:

  • access to and use of the website www.sonulab.com;

  • the purchase and use of Sonulab products (e.g., guitar pedals such as StompStation) and any other future music-related devices or accessories.


3. Liability – Limitations and Exclusions

⚠️ Disclaimer for material, immaterial, direct, or indirect damages

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sonulab disclaims all liability for any type of damage caused directly or indirectly by the use of its products, including but not limited to:

  • damage to musical instruments, amplifiers, cables, or accessories;

  • injury to people (e.g. electric shocks, misuse-related harm, exposure to high volume, etc.);

  • damage to electrical systems, mixers, recorders, or third-party devices;

  • immaterial damages such as data loss, disruption of artistic or professional activity, loss of earnings, reputation, or commercial opportunities;

  • malfunctions caused by improper installation, unauthorized modifications, incorrect use, or incompatibility with non-certified third-party devices;

  • damage from transport, neglect, wear and tear, or exposure to unsuitable environmental conditions (humidity, heat, dust, liquids, shocks, etc.).

WARNING: Improper, incorrect, or non-compliant use of the product may lead to electrical or functional risks. It is the user’s responsibility to verify technical compatibility and adopt all necessary safety measures.


4. Technical Information and Product Use

Sonulab devices are designed for musical use, in appropriate environments and by users with basic technical knowledge. Each product must be used exclusively as described in the manual, and with compatible accessories.

Opening, modifying, dismantling, or tampering with the product is strictly prohibited and will result in loss of warranty coverage and exclusion of any liability from Sonulab.


5. Warranty

All Sonulab products are covered by a 24-month legal warranty in accordance with the Consumer Code (Directive 1999/44/EC) for private customers, and 12 months for purchases made with a VAT number. The warranty covers only manufacturing defects and does not include:

  • accidental or intentional damage;

  • wear, mechanical breakage, oxidation, or liquid exposure;

  • damage caused by voltage surges or incorrect connections.


6. Limitation of Financial Liability

In any case, the maximum liability of Sonulab per contract or transaction shall never exceed the amount paid by the customer for the specific product that is the subject of the dispute.


7. Customer Obligations

The customer agrees to:

  • use the products with care and in accordance with instructions;

  • avoid using products in dangerous conditions;

  • not use products for purposes other than those declared;

  • take full responsibility for how the product is connected or interacts with third-party devices.


8. Right of Withdrawal and Returns

Consumers may exercise their right of withdrawal within 14 days of delivery by sending a request to info@sonulab.com. The returned product must be:

  • unused and in like-new condition;

  • in its original packaging;

  • accompanied by proof of purchase;

  • returned at the customer’s expense and risk, preferably with a trackable shipping method.


9. Force Majeure

Sonulab shall not be held liable for delays or failures due to force majeure events such as natural disasters, fires, pandemics, blackouts, logistics blockages, strikes, cyberattacks, or similar circumstances.


10. Amendments

Sonulab reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes shall take effect upon publication on the website.


11. Jurisdiction

Unless otherwise agreed, any disputes shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Court where the sole proprietor has legal residence.
